CLUB RAISES $10,000 FOR FISHER HOUSE IN TAMPA

The Republican Club of Central Pasco was recognized in November 2007 by The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Fisher House Foundation for its efforts to raise awareness and $10,000 in support of the Fisher House at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center  The fundraiser was held in October, 2007 with a dinner catered by local Hungry Harry's Famous Barbeque and featured drawings, silent auctions, T-shirt sales and numerous sponsorship levels.  U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, of the 9th Congressional District and a member of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, addressed attendees to the fundraiser on the vital importance of the Fisher House in Tampa.

2009 Biennial Fisher House Fundraising Dinner
Congressman Bilirakis, Congresswoman Brown-Waite and Representative Weatherford to Speak

On October 24, 2009, The Republican Club of Pasco and the West Pasco Republican Club will host the 2nd Biennial Fisher House Fundraiser.  What the McDonald House is for children suffering cancer the Fisher House is to active military, veterans and their families.  The Fisher House offers free lodging for families of military men and women undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the James A Haley Veterans' Hospital here in Tampa.  The event will be held at the Seven Springs Golf and Country Club and will feature Congressman Gus Bilirakis and Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite as keynote speakers.  Representative Will Weatherford will act as Master of Ceremonies.  For information on the event, please contact us.  For more info on the Fisher House, click here.  Please join us and be a vital part of helping those that have served and continue to serve this nation.
