Republican clubs get recognition in 2009 raising $25,000 for Fisher House

The Republican Club of Central Pasco and the West Pasco Republican Club were honored in December by Steven Lucas, director of the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, Paula Welenc, director of the Fisher House in Tampa, and Kenneth Greenberg, executive secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The clubs were recognized for raising awareness and money for the Fisher House. The Fisher House is a nonprofit organization that provides "a home away from home" for family members of active-duty and military veterans hospitalized at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital.
